Menu Possibilities

GATE Village provides a number of menu systems for most Village Roles to utilize in their web site creation. This page tries to show some of the various possibilities using the "Village Services" system menu. NOTES:

1. Most text-based menus can be augmented using CSS altering colour, font, backgrounds etc
2. This is a non-comprehensive list of menu possibilities
3. This page does not highlight the Smart-menu technology built into many system menus (that allow for a memory of previous menu actions)
4. This page does not provide a "Menu Image" example
5. The Vendor link does not have any sub-levels
6. This page does not provide a "Menu Icon" example (part of the menu configuration)
7. The Image Menu is not built from the same system menu as the rest of the examples, rather it is a distinct menu (Information Object) using the same targets as "Village Services" top-level (with only one sub-level to save on space)
8. The Image Menu example uses 10 separate images, two for each menu item (producing the effect of changing font colour). It could have used just 5 images, (say) just the black lettering, or any other picture you can imagine
