From the Editor's Desk

WOW! What a month! This has been the watershed month for GATEGATE Village, Village technical development took a back seat to using the Village to create content -- in other words, put the Village to work. And boy does it do good work!

In this edition of the GATEGATE Post we highlight some of the content that has been created by various Village members and staff over the last month. We couldn't possibly highlight it all, it is just coming too fast and furious now!

We start with our featured GATEGATE Village member, the RANT RANT Group of Companies. We at GATEGATE Village are very familiar with RANT, having used it's services a number of times. But this month we are very excited to see that RANT RANT has moved their web site to the Village ... but move isn't really the right word, it has been completely redone using Village content and technologies. Check it out!

As a follow-on there is a short article on the various new looks taking shape within the Village ... up until now it has mostly just been the rather functional default view as we have spent our time and energy creating content and technologies rather than pretty pages. But pretty is important too! and while we fully admit that one of GATEGATE Village's expertise is decidely NOT pretty, we hope that this issue shows that it is our personal creative failings rather than any missing GATEGATE Village technologies -- we definitely have the ability to make pretty pages.

July finally saw GATEGATE Village use itself for internet promotional purposes, and that meant a lot of technical changes as well, you can read about some of that in this issue but look for a feature article next month describing the technology.

I'll stop here except to say that we invite and encourage your comments and participation in the GATEGATEPost ... we believe we've come a very long way in a very short time, but we also believe that you can help us make this better!
