Livelink Expert Bio Metadata Fields

Like most content, a Livelink Expert Bio is made up of both data and metadata fields. Metadata is information that describes the data within the content, things like author, copyright etc. Most of the metadata associated with a specific Livelink Expert Bio content is automatically created and managed, things like the author, the modification time, the revision toggle, what the menu and URL path settings are etc. There are a few fields left open for editing, however:

  • Meta Tags - probably the most important of all the fields is the meta tags, the fields that are populated specifically for search engines. The meta tags a Livelink Expert is allowed to edit by default are:
    • Abstract - a short, one sentence description of the page.
    • Copyright - a copyright statement specific to this particular piece of content; it is likely your name followed by a date but you may reassign your rights. NOTE the default setting for all content within the community is the parent company "GATE: Global Alliance of Trusted Experts Inc." but you may override this on all content you create.
    • Description - a more detailed but still brief description of the content
    • Keywords - the important keywords you want the search engines to focus on
    • Dublin Core -- Livelink-Experts.com supports the following Dublin Core (RM) tags
      • Dublin Core Contributor
      • Dublin Core Date
      • Dublin Core title
  • Revision - Enter a short log message describing what changes this revision has from the previous one.
  • Post to Twitter - a toggle as to whether this a quick note about this new or updated Livelink Expert Bio should sent to your twitter account (note, if you have not setup your twitter account, this field will not be shown -- see your User PROFILE)
  • Published - a toggle indicating whether or not your content should be available for others to see (published or not)
