Inline PHP allow you to create a Personalized Presence for your customers and visitors while gaining valuable marketing data about those customers.
Full-featured Web Browser-based WYSIWYG editing make creating attractive Information Objects easy, even for non-techies!
Cool, built-in technologies like QUICKMENU, QUICKTABS, Calendar, ColourPicker, Lightbox, SHOUTout, intelligent input filters, automatic slideshow, and so much more are readily available to most Village Roles.

PHP
PHP is the main programming language in
use within GATE Village. Some Village members are allowed to extend
their web presence using PHP to access specific data within the Village
providing a more personalized view, tracking project or customer data
or any number of other uses of dynamic content.

WYSIWYG
What You See Is What You Get is
a term that is usually reserved for text editors. It refers to the
characteristic of displaying the content you are typing (more or less)
as it will appear once you publish/render your content. GATE Village offers WYSIWYG editors for many of its Input Filters for content.

GATE Village has a wide variety of functionality, a plethora of content types, and a vast and growing database of content. No single account or person (outside of the necessary Administrator account) has access to everything, not even GATE employees. Access to all functions, features, content and content types is controlled through tte use of roles -- this is often referred to as Role Based Access.
GATE Village roles are usually hierarchical in nature, thus any member may have many different roles.
SHOUTout
A GATE Village SHOUTout is a useful content type that can be used for Automatic Links within GATE Village. You are likely seeing a SHOUTout in use reading this very text. It is based on the Drupal module Glossify and utilizes the Drupal module Hovertip to display short definitions of words and phrases embedded within content.
