Your data is your's to share or not as you see best for you and/or your company. GATE Village does not sell, lease, rent, or otherwise provide anybody or business access to any data within GATE Village for commercial activities outside of GATE Village itself.

There are no exceptions to that statement, we are not about tracking your activities in order to sell that information to others to use. We are not about using your profile information as a database for recruiters. The information provided to members is, with very few exceptions, only that which each member has chosen to provide. The only Village requirement is that when you provide any information at all, it must be truthful as it is subject to the GATE Trust Policy.

PLEASE NOTE: This policy is in effect for GATE Village activities only. It does not implicitly apply to any information you willingly give to any GATE Village member by means of signups, comments, postings or other online interactions. Each member is free to use such information according to their own published privacy policy.

We do utilize Google Analytics code primarily for our visitors and free-account holders, however every paying member has the simple and easy ablity to opt out of such tracking at their will with the change happening immediately. We are working on an opt-in approach as is more consistent with our philosophy, stay tuned for more details.

While all members have access to a wide variety of data slices, and some roles offer greater functionality than others, no GATE Village Role may bypass the security of any other non-related roles. While a Trusted Neighbourhood and a Business Premium or Business Lite Account provide administrative and hierarchical access roles (eg: "Admin", "Exec", "Staff"), that extra access is limited to within a single Information Security Realm.

In other words, your private data remains your's to reveal or not; if you have access control administration with your role then you can share your data with a select group of users safe in the knowledge that it is secure from unauthorized access. We do assume that you understand your Expert-Tease and user profile are intended as available to the general public and Village members respectively; but then that is the point behind those content types.
