An Expert in the GATE
Village is:
- Everybody -- the default "role" within GATE Village is a Trusted Expert
- Anybody -- one person's ceiling is another person's floor; if I know something that you do not that you perceive as specialized knowledge, I am an expert in your eyes but not necessarily in the eyes of somebody who already knows that thing.
If you think about it for a moment, the title of Expert really only has meaning if you know who it is that provides the title...in other words, generally you must trust one person's evaluation. It is exactly this connundrum that the GATE Trust System was designed to address.
GATE Village does not attempt to ascertain any self-defined expert, it is up to an individual business or person to market and promote themselves and their skills. And within GATE Village, do it in an honest fashion or your GATE Trust Score will suffer.
