By default, any Information Object within an Information Security Realm have the same access control setting, that is, the if somebody has been allowed access to one information object within a particular realm, they will (generally) be allowed access to any other information object within that realm. Information Security Realms are self-descriptive content types, for example:
- Public, Public Event, Public Forum (the general public can view)
- [business], [business] Event, [business] Forum where "business" is the chosen name of a Business Premium account or Trusted Neighbourhood created by an Entrepreneur (restricted to the named [business] / Trusted Neighbours)
- Member, Member Event, Member Forum (GATE
Village Members only)
Other Information Security Realms are possible, including ad-hoc realms created to share information with a small or potentially external group, though this advanced use is only available to our Virtual Office, Business Lite and Business Premium accounts.
