These are just examples of accessing static information within the Village, but it is a very powerful tool for extending your business reach.
Base Account and Premium Account holders are restricted from using PHP but My Virtual Office, Business Lite and Business Premium Account holders are the Village Roles that are allowed to use PHP within some of their content types.

Virtual Office
GATE Village uses GATE Village as its Virtual Office space. Like any company or organization, we have internal meetings, staff gatherings, and other date-based events that need to be managed.
We
have content creation, edit and review cycles -- a lot of those :-) We
create a lot of our own content, we create a lot of our members'
content -- in many cases we want content to be edited, reviewed and
approved before it is published, all of this is managed automatically
using workflows.

No single account or person (outside of the necessary Administrator account) has access to everything, not even GATE employees. Access to all functions, features, content and content types is controlled through tte use of roles -- this is often referred to as Role Based Access.
