PHP is the main programming language in
use within GATE Village. Some Village members are allowed to extend
their web presence using PHP to access specific data within the Village
providing a more personalized view, tracking project or customer data
or any number of other uses of dynamic content.

Access to all functions, features, content and content types is controlled through tte use of roles -- this is often referred to as Role Based Access.
GATE Village roles are usually hierarchical in nature, thus any member may have many different roles.
