A GATE Village Trusted Neighbourhood is similar to a GATE Village Neighbourhood in that a Trusted Neighbourhood automatically qualifies for inclusion in the marketing and advertising efforts of GATE Village. They differ in that the members of a Trusted Neighbourhood are self-identified and have purchased their GATE Village membership through an agent of the Trusted Neighbourhood they belong to. In other words, they explcitly paid for the privilege of belonging to that Trusted Neighbourhood.

Trusted Neighbourhoods have dedicated marketing and advertising funds that correlates to the number of members in the Trusted Neighbourhoods, and as long as there is at least one member then a Trusted Neighbourhood will always qualify for some marketing funds.
