Content Management systems demand the ability to route content through various business processes -- not all content is for public viewing, some of it is just data for use by the company.
Workflows allow content to be
processed rather than just created. A simple approval workflow provides
the ability to ensure that an editor (or an editorial board) has a
chance to review and approve content before it is published. A more complex workflow may see multiple reviewers defined, say one for pricing, another for text editing, another for branding, and a final for executive approval.
Even more complex workflows are possible, content can be automatically converted from one content type to another (for controlled yet automated movement between Information Security Realms).
GATE
Village provides it Virtual Office and Business Accounts holders with the ability to use and request new workflows be created (either as a GATE
Supplies request or as a for-fee service).
