GATEGATE: Bylaws of GATEGATE Membership

 

  1. TRUST: Every GATEGATE Member must agree to adhere to the following policies on trust:

    1. Trust Policy, including :

      1. Conflict of Interest Policy

      2. Ranking Policy

      3. Rating Policy

    2. Acceptable Use Policy

    3. Member Privacy & Confidentiality Policy

  2. GATEGATE Members should expect honesty from other GATEGATE Members. GATEGATE promotes healthy competition and the entrepreneurial spirit and to that end GATEGATE Management do not offer any oversight role in specific business transactions between GATEGATE Members. GATEGATE Members are free to make any legal business arrangement with other GATEGATE Members at any time with or without the knowledge and monitoring of GATEGATE Management, however all transactions GATEGATE Members are subject to these policies at all times.

  3. TRUST Investigations: GATEGATE Members agree to cooperate fully with GATEGATE Management whenever a TRUST Investigation is conducted, furthermore GATEGATE Members agree that GATEGATE Management are the sole and final authority as to the type of investigation and the outcome of any Trust Investigation.

    1. GATEGATE Members agree to abide to any outcomes of any Trust Investigation

    2. GATEGATE Members understand that Trust Investigation Requests are not intended as a measure of satisfaction with another Member's work, rather they are a specific accusation that a member has breached one or more points within the Trust Policy.

    3. It is itself a Breach of Trust to falsely accuse another member of Breach of Trust.

  4. SANCTIONS: GATEGATE Members agree that GATEGATE Management have sole discretion as to any sanctions that might be laid as a result of a Trust Investigation. GATEGATE Management will follow the published GATEGATE Trust Investigation Policy which offers all GATEGATE Members the opportunity to participate. Possible sanctions include:

    1. Redaction and / or removal of specific Ratings

    2. Retraction and / or public apology from one GATEGATE Member to another

    3. Removal of certain access rights within the GATEGATE Village online community

    4. Termination of GATEGATE Membership as per the Termination clause in the GATEGATE Membership Agreement.

  5. GATEGATE Members agree that there are no other legal remedies available to them outside of GATEGATE Management and the GATEGATE Trust Investigation Policy. They forgo any rights they might have, including any issues of slander or liability, for any and all activity conducted within GATEGATE Village

    1. GATEGATE Management agree to stay impartial and fair-minded in all proceedings and primarily will rely upon auditing and monitoring logs from online activities of all interested parties.

    2. GATEGATE Management and GATEGATE Members agree that any results of any Trust Investigation are published for the eyes and use of GATEGATE Members in Good Standing only. Trust Investigation reports and findings are specifically covered and count as
      confidential material and may not be divulged to any non-GATEGATE Member or GATEGATE Employee.

      1. What happens in GATEGATE Village stays in GATEGATE Village, GATEGATE Management will aggressively prosecute any breach of the Member Privacy and Confidentiality Policy.

  6. GATEGATE Members agree to conduct business within the GATEGATE Village and with other GATEGATE Members and GATEGATE Clients with honesty and integrity at all times. GATEGATE Members are forbidden from attempting to 'game the system' in any way in an attempt to gain an unfair advantage or to cause any direct harm to any GATEGATE Members or GATEGATE Clients.

  7. GATEGATE Members agree that they must pay their dues in advance to remain in Good Standing and that a member not in Good Standing will see most of their access to GATEGATE Village and to GATEGATE Supplies and GATEGATE Services curtailed. GATEGATE Members who are in arrears for greater than 30 days will see their GATEGATE Membership suspended until payment in full is received and if payment has not been received within 90 days the GATEGATE Membership will be revoked and the GATEGATE Village account will be removed.

    1. GATEGATE SHARES: GATEGATE Members understand that only GATEGATE Members in Good Standing may redeem their Class B shares received when becoming a GATEGATE Member.
